Warm Weather & Fervent Friendship

21 Jul 2016

It is finally here! The weather made for spending long evenings with friends, glass in hand. And you can do exactly that this Saturday -
we're throwing a barbecue with our buddy the BIB Taproom.  All are welcome! Bring old friends, make new ones, and please say hello.

Then next week we'll be spending time with our old friends at The Marksman. They have a rather special guest, for a dinner which
is rather close to our hearts.  Read on...

St. JOHN & BIB Taproom
- BBQ -

Please join us!

We are celebrating an excellent year for our St. JOHN bag-in-box wines, with an event that's a little bit different from the usual St. JOHN affair: no booking is required, it's in a courtyard in Dalston and all our St. JOHN wine is £3.50 a glass.  But don't worry, we're sticking to those core St. JOHN principles - delicious food, excellent wine and convivial company.

The forecast says very warm and very sunny!
Fergus himself will be doling out the Ox Heart Buns and the Quail! And we'll be there, rosé in hand, wiping the quail juices off our chins.

Saturday, July 23rd
18.00 – 23.00

FREE ENTRY FOR ALL!

Nuno Mendes // The Marksman // Fergus Henderson

A few months ago Fergus had the privilege of being the inaugural contributor for The Marksman's Cookbook Dinners series, at which guest chefs choose their favourite cookbook and compile a dinner from these career-influencing recipes.  Fergus chose the extraordinary Fernand Point's Ma Gastronomie.

Some months later, via Jeremy Lee (Elizabeth David's An Omelette and a Glass of Wine) and Nathan Outlaw
(Rick Stein's English Seafood Cookery), chef/owners Jon Rotheram and Tom Harris have invited Nuno Mendes as their next guest.

And which book has Nuno chosen?  Fergus' eponymous Nose to Tail Eating.

Tickets for the event sold out in moments! But we will be following the event over the course of the evening, from preparation to dessert to well-deserved drink, on Instagram.
So watch this space to see the story unfold!
